Almost half a year since last journal and the pathetic thing is that I have nothing new to say. Well nothing that would interest you. My time on dA is nothing like it used to be. Not that I don't like the site anymore, I just can't be bothered with social networking the amount I used to. I want to dedicate most of my time in building my own website cause it is ridiculous to be asked for a card or a link and me starring to them with a blank look on my face mouthing the words "I don't have one". Furthermore I was pissed of at the amount of money I was getting back from sales through websites like dA or RB so no more online sales through a middle man. If you are interested for a print you can order it via me directly and soon hopefully via the website. I like to have control over the printing process anyway so closing print accounts on various sites was going to happen sooner or later.
Anyway dA news. I was awarded a Daily Deviation recently on
I would like to thank =GraphiteColours for suggesting it, `Anoya for featuring it and all the deviants that liked it faved it and added me to their watchlist. I will try to thank people who added me in person too but this will take a while, numbers have pilled up.

Your own website is the way to go, I certainly enjoyed building and creating my own, and it gets considerably more monthly hits than my DA page does. For you and Mary though, I would seriously recommend looking at building your site around a blog. One of the things that troubles me about standard gallery websites is the fact that every time you add new work, it just blends into the galleries you already have. You could have a "recent work" gallery, but again how do you inform people who like your work when it's been updated. Also, web galleries don't really give people the chance for any interaction from people who view the site.
This is one of the reasons I started looking at blogs. The whole structure gives a logical way of posting new work, with RSS subscription people get to see it automatically, and you can build some great galleries which are part of the blog site structure as well. With my own blog, I've built it to run alongside my site, but the reality is that I know it will kind of replace my site eventually as it's much more dynamic and the fact that it gets updated means it gets more views. Mary in particular gives the impression that she likes writing as well, and a blog gives you both the platform for that as well.
There are so many different styles, and then each style is infinitely adaptable, so you can easily get one looking exactly how you want it to. I got mine from here [link] which is where Guy Tal got his from as well. It's worth having a play around with the themes, you can do pretty much whatever you want with them
