Artist's Comments

The single arched stone bridge of Kokkorou named after its sponsor dating back to the 1750's. It was a magical misty sunrise and I hope I managed to capture some of the magic with this photograph.

The title is of course from the Lord of the Rings and if only there was a dark rider crossing the bridge by the time I was taking the shot. Here is a question for you, if you imagine a horse crossing it which direction would it be going? Left to right or right to left?

Location: Kokkorou bridge, Epirus, Greece

Wow that scene is so wonderful!!! The composition is sooooooo gooooood! The light isn't perfect, I think it's a bit too brown-ish, but it doesn't ruin the photograph at all. The LOTR vibe is all around the frame. The bridge is just wonderful!

If there really had been a Nazgul on the bridge, I think the from-left-to-right question would be modified to nearer-or-further :D

I love the lighting, the bronze tint gives this photo a medieval feel

It can't rain all the time... but in Cornwall it'll have a bloody good go!
