Day 10
After shooting The lantern we continued our walk along the shoreline as the city was starting to wake up. The sun was up by now only barely and still the fog was holding its ground. I was trying to capture some pelicans taking their morning bath and having finished with them I headed back to the car to pack my camera. No sooner than I reached the car I heard the motor of a boat approaching and thought " I am kind of proud of this shot cause I rarely include people in my scenes. it isn't that I don't like it, it is just that I don't know how to handle them. This picture though was laid in front of my by itself and all I had to do was to set my tripod again, compose and take the shot. I kind of did it in a hurry cause the fisherman wasn't going to wait for me so I had to crop the end result a bit and remove a rock in the foreground that affected the balance of the picture. I hope you can forgive me that. Hope you like it Location: City of Kastoria, Lake Orestiada, Greece *tech stuff Camera: Nikon D200 Lens: Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 IF ED VR @70mm Aperture: f/2.8 Shutter Speed: 1/5" ISO: 100 Flash: Did not fire VR: OFF Filters: HOYA CPL Tripod: YES |
